Hello, Goodbye!

We're going through some changes here at Twist of Faith.... we are now having to say farewell to Anne-Marie who needs to leave us, and who will be sadly missed, as she has been an integral part of Twist of Faith since it's inception...but she promises she will come play in our challenges (and we'll hold her to that)!

We also welcome three new teamies to our fold!

Hi! I’m Hillary; I live in Oklahoma City, OK with my wonderful husband and two dogs. I am so very blessed to have a husband that encourages me in my paper crafting and always has a nice word to say about a finished product and just laughs when my half of our home office explodes with paper, ribbons, and buttons.

I have been scrapbooking and stamping since I was 12 and a little over a year and half ago I started with card making and have been completely hooked ever since!

Judy.jpgHey everybody, my name is Judy Thompson (originally from Virginia), and live in Florida.  My passions are God, family and friends, animals, and crafting.
My husband (Jack) and I have been married 16 years, and he's managed to make every dream I've ever had come true.  We have one son (James), and a granddaughter (Jaylana).  My Mom lives with us (in an adjoining MIL suite) on a small hay farm with dogs, cats and horses - all of which are a huge part of our family.
Currently I'm a dog groomer apprentice, and loving every minute of it.  Thanks to my Mom, I've got to learn all types of crafting, and now I have this new found love for paper crafting.  So when I'm not grooming or doing something around the house, you'll find me glued to my desk in my craft room.

me.jpgGreetings from Northeast Ohio!  My husband and I have lived here for 13 years.  I grew up in this area, but he moved here for me.  We have 2 sons, 1 daughter, 2 daughter-in-laws, 4 granddaughters, 2 inside cats who think they are people, and 6 outside cats that are strays but we feed them.  I've been stamping for 8-10 yeas on and off but over the last year have been more active with it.  I make cards for our local pregnancy center and for other ministry outlets.  Crocheting is my other craft, although I've done a little bit of everything at one time or another it seems.  I have made candles, cross-stitched, needlepointed, plastic canvas, etc. I'm honored to be part of the Twist of Faith Design Team and looking forward to seeing all the beautiful creations that are submitted!  Blessings!!!!

You can see our whole team on our design team page... the link is at the top of the page!

Welcome everyone... we're so happy to have you with us at Twist of Faith!

We also have our random prize winner to congratulate! And our Eureka Stamps prize goes to:

DOROTHY, if you would contact me at the yahoo email address on the right, I will arrange for your prize to be delivered to you! Thank you Eureka Stamps!

We are happy to introduce a new sponsor ... Digi Darla's Designs! Our random prize winner will receive their choice of  FIVE images! DigiDarla is the brain child of Kim Eskola and her daughter Emilea...

"Emilea and I both enjoy creating and when the idea of creating digital stamps came up, it sounded like the most wonderful way to earn ever! There was only one problem! We are both shy and dislike the center of attention! As a way of "hiding behind the scenes" and avoiding having one spokeswoman, Digi Darla was born!  Working with Emilea on this project has been a wonderful blessing and has stretched both of us. Emilea is a busy teen with her passion for art and training our 2 horses, piano and violin lessons, and squeezing in high school classes somewhere in between! She is also the oldest daughter in a family of 11!"
This week is a our themed challenge for you is:

IRISH BLESSINGS
(as always, your creation must include a scripture, inspirational verse or positive words of healing, encouragement, or support)

" May the raindrops fall lightly on your brow.
May the soft winds freshen your spirit.
May the sunshine brighten your heart
May the burdens of the day rest lightly upon you.
And may God enfold you in the mantle of His love. "

I share here an Irish blessing. You are free to use whatever scripture, or verse/passage that will suit your creation in our theme.

Here are some beautiful creations from our teamies, showcasing some images from our sponsor!

We are excited to welcome our sponsor for this week, Eureka Stamps
Eureka

Our randomly drawn winner will receive their choice of five (5) digital images from  Eureka Stamps ... and we thank our sponsor for their generous prize!  This week our challenge theme is:

RIBBONS and BOWS (either or both!)
and a scripture, or uplifting verse or positive words of healing, encouragement, or support

"...the King gave a banquet for all of the people. from the greatest to the least, who were in the fortress of Susa. It lasted for seven days and was held in the courtyard of the palace garden.  The courtyard was beautifully decorated with white cotton curtains and blue hangings, which were fastened with white linen cords and purple ribbons to silver rings embedded in marble pillars. Gold and silver couches stood on a mosaic pavement of porphyry, marble,
mother-of-pearl, and other costly stones."
                                               ~ Esther 1:5-6 NLT ~

I did a quick search for scriptures, not expecting to find a reference to ribbons.  But here it is... referring to a banquet King Xerxes gave the people after his 180 day banquet for noblemen. 180 days! And he gave the regular people a week! What struck me about this scripture was the opulent beauty of the courtyard... it sounds heavenly... even just the purple ribbons on the white curtains... looking through the ages ribbons have always been something to beautify... a gala event, a little girl's hair, or a gift.  But how beautiful it is to look out over a luscious garden, mountains, field flowers, or the ocean.... without a ribbon in sight!

As always, you are free to use whatever scripture, or verse/passage that will suit your creation in our theme.

Come and share in the wonderful inspiration created by our design team for the RIBBONS AND BOWS Challenge!
