Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25 NIV)

#19 A Sketch Challenge

Welcome to Twist of Faith, where we share our faith through our card creations.  Each week, as a challenge closes, and we introduce a new challenge to you.  We will showcase three challenge entries that spoke to the challenge the most... and they will receive our Top 3 blog badge.  However, should a challenge receive less than 10 entries, we will draw only a prize winner.... and this week is one of those weeks! We extend congratulations to our prize winner...
#9 Christine Miller
Christine, please collect your winner's blog badges from our sidebar... and email me (Pauline) at the yahoo address on the right, and I'll get your prize off to you! Thank you for sponsoring our first challenge, Doodle Garden!

Now I can welcome you to our second challenge for 2013! Our sponsor this week is Beccy's Place.  We're thrilled to have her beautiful hand drawn images grace our pages ... they are created by Beccy Muir...

Paint, paper, silk, charcoal, clay, wool, fabric, fur… I’ve had my hands on all of it at some point in my life and am quite certain I’ll have a half-finished project on my desk and ink under my nails on the day I go to meet my Maker!

My paper obsession began with scrapbooking in the late 1990s and has since evolved into card-making and digital drawing.  There were a few years of decorative painting, teddy bear making and silk ribbon embroidery mixed in there too, and I still dabble in each of those crafts from time to time, but I generally gravitate toward paper, which is versatile and forgiving.

I started “doodling” little designs for cards back in 2009, which is also when I started my blog and began sharing my images with other Cardies.  From there I progressed to my very own online store selling digital drawings for cards and other paper craft projects.

Beccy's Place is offering our randomly drawn prize winner their choice of three images from the Beccy's Place collection!

This week, we have a

SKETCH CHALLENGE

... please use this simple sketch as a map for your card creation.

Feel free to stretch it, flip it, as you see fit, as long as your end creation layout resembles this original basic sketch... (the text used is only to identify the sketch!) And of course you're free to use an embellishments you wish! Have fun!

As this is a sketch challenge, the theme for your card is completely open... the scripture below is a share for you.

"The one thing I ask of the Lord -- the thing I seek most
is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
delighting in the Lord's perfections and meditating in His temple."

                               Psalm 27:4 NLV

And remember to use a scripture, or uplifting quote/sentiment in your creation.... that is our Twist if Faith, after all!

We look forward to seeing your creations using our SKETCH shared with us here. Have a blessed week!

Please remember that if for any reason our Linky Tool fails us, share your creation through the comments section, with a direct link to your blog post.

I also want to make mention of my appreciation to the design team we have here at Twist of Faith... we have gone through some 'staff' changes some 'supply issues', but the team is sticking together like glue... they are an awesome team, and I'm so blessed to have them here at Twist of Faith.... THANK YOU, teamies!

SANDRA please email me (Pauline) at the yahoo address on the right, and I'll get your prize off to you! Thank you for sponsoring our Thinking of You challenge,  Clear Dollar Stamps!

Our sponsor is the wonderful The Doodle Garden... and Jennifer has a wonderful selection of whimsical hand-drawn images for all occasions in her Doodle Garden etsy shop... we invite you to come on in and stay a while to look around The Doodle Garden!

The prize offered to our randomly drawn prize winner, consists of two digital  images from The Doodle Garden blog for new releases!

Our theme for you this week is

WELCOME!

Your card creation could welcome in the New Year, or a New Baby, or a New Home... be welcoming!  And remember our 'twist'... your card should include a scripture, or inspirational quote or message.... it doesn't have to be on front of the card, but do show that it's there!

I know this scripture from Hebrews has been shared before, but it is a marvellous one...

"Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have
done this have entertained angels without realising it!
                           Hebrews 13:2 NLT

and I saw this one today.... I saw it in "The Message"... and I just love the very contemporary and straight-talking ... clear and simple!

"So reach out and welcome one other to God's glory. Jesus did it, now you do it!
                           Romans 15:7 The Message

If you have another inspiring scripture or quote, of course you are free to use it in your creation...any message that is fitting of our theme... (and remember that this Twist of Faith is an entry requirement for our challenges!)

Our design team this week has created some wonderfully welcoming delights with our sponsor's images....

We do hope you'll join in our Welcome Challenge, and share your creations with us!
Don't forget that our challenge is all about a 'Twist of Faith', so include an inspirational quote/sentiment or scripture on or in your creation....
(if Mr Linky disappears as he seems to often these days, please leave a comment on this post, with a link to your challenge entry at your blog!)
